Smile Anyone had a period taking 500mg of met only?

Hi Cysters,
I am wandering if anyone has had regular cycles with 500mg of met only?, I have had some side effects and will be taking one dose for 2 weeks before i take the second of 500mg (1000mg prescribed) not ttc( not by choice don't have a man in my life!) so anyway I have been thinking if i take the 500mg for a month could I have a period and not need the extra dose?.I do have higher glucose levels when tested in the fasting state in the low 100's and sometimes the 90's my average 3 month test that was done a few days ago through blood work came back in the 90's (5.5) and I am watching what i eat and working out to loose the extra 30lbs that I am carrying. My goal is to have regular cycles and keep the glucose down which in turn will keep my insulin levels more normal.

This board has been a god send for me and i am am sure many others, I don't feel alone anymore! and the advice is so helpful and the stories inspiring.I am so thankful to the person that started this board and to all who continue to offer their experiences, advice and stories.GOOD LUCK to every women with pcos, ttc or not.
