Anyone had a Vascular incident

I was not sure where to ask this question but thought this may be the right forum. Has anyone else had a vascular incident? I thought i had a pinched nerve in my finger but my doc was pretty worried as she thinks its related to my IR and PCOS. She explained it that diabetics when they have problems with blood circulation or eyesight its because of a vascular incident and that im lucky it was only in my finger as if it had happened in my eye i would be blind. She also tested my blood and i was a 14.9 (not sure of the conversion). I had had breakfast already so this wasnt a fasting level.

Now she has made me pretty worried and referred me to a specialist who doesnt know when he will be able to fit me in (has gonna call back when he finds me a spot) he said his next available space is in April - what the? So i suppose i thought it would be good for me to hear if anyone else has experienced a similar thing!
