It's mostly noticible on my upper lip, but I have hair all over my face. I guess I'm really lucky beacuse I'm a blond and all the hair on my face except for my mustache is just baby fine and blond. I shave or use a hair removal cream for the face every few days (the cream lasts longer, but it kind of burns my skin so I only use it if I have somewhere important to go and want to look really nice - I use it the night before so the redness is gone)

I have it to. The Blonde hairs alongmy jaw bone. I also get like abour 4-5 coarse hairs under my chin which I tweese. It seems as though I can never catch my chin hairs when they are small its like they just come "full" and long..lol I have a mustache as well..I just shave it off after a joke my dh said about me.. He trimmed his mustache down pretty low and so I said he looked different and his response was "it'll grow back". But in turn he says to me you go trim your mustache better shave it off...HA HA HA so I got reallt offended and now I am upset and crying...hE JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND

My sideburns/cheeks issues started following laser treatments... grrrr It was ok before, some hair, but not too prominent. Then the stupid doctor who did one of my face treatments said, why don't we take it off. I agreed and next thing I know, she pulls out the razor and shaves my face. It was the first time ever for a razor to touch my face - big mistake. A few days later I looked like I looked like a prisoner on the run!

I told another doctor there about this, and she said shaving that area is a big no-no because it's hormonally sensitive (her words) and thus shaving it could actually trigger more intense hair growth. Well, never shaved it again, used scissors to trim before the next treatments. Still doing the treatments and awaiting the improvement which is beyond slow and gradual at this point. Sigh. Been lasered at least 5 times by now, and not much better.

In between treatments, I use strictly the scissors. Used to was, thread, and tweeze in the past oh, and several years of electrolysis which improved things for a while only.

My Sideburn are my big thing. I'm obsessed with them it seems. I shave it everyday almost. I have dark hair so when do shave it you can still see the dark spot just like you would on a guys face. I try to cover it up with make up and NEVER wear my hair down. I hate it. I'm Very Subconsience about it.

My sideburn hairs are thick, dark brown, and sometimes have a curl to them. I wax them off every other week. Inbetween waxing I pluck whatever ones sneak up. I also wax my upper lip and the area between my chin and neck. I was on Spiro and after 2 years it started to slow down the growth but a month after I got off of it it (were TTC) came back in a hurry.

I have dealt with this sidbuurn/neck hair for 4 years now. When I was DXed with PCOS last month I decided it was time to do something about it cause plucking, waxing, shaving all these years wasn't cutting it for me. I had my first laser hair removal treatment a few weeks ago and just that one treatment worked wonders for me. I am excited to keep up with it and see the reselts and finally have a "normal" face. My DR also put me on Spiro to help reduce new hair growth.

I too shave every day, it is so bad now that my the end of the day I have major 5 o'clock shadow. I also have razor burn all over my face and my face looks horrible. Been shaving every day for over 8 years. At this point it is just another everyday thing I have to do.

I have it also. The sideburns, hair on the chin, above the lip. My nature hair color is so dark that when this hair started really growing it was never blonde. I use sally jensen hair removal. I've thought about electrolsys but it scares me also. I've been reading up on vaniqa however.

Yeah, I have this too and the lip and chin hair. With cyproterone I get about 2 days grace on shaving it. I've noticed a reduction in sideburn hair with the drug but the chin hair is still as bad, but I understand that's the typical place hair shows up on the face with PCOS so I'm expecting that to take longer to subside.

Unfortunately, shaving is the only option for me as creams irritate my skin and the hair is still very visible with bleaching and waxing hurts too much. Can't afford the amount of laser therapy it would take to solve this issue either. Would love Vaniqa to be an option but that causes major skin irritation and aggravates my acne beyond all belief.

I have pale blond peach-fuzz-like hair all over my face, and it's a little longer down underneath my sideburns into my jaw line.

i have that wonderful sideburn, the goatee, the beard into the throat, the mustache above and below my chin, and even hair on my actual cheeks. and i have black hair! the hair on my chin is thick, really thick. wax doesn't even grip it sometimes-even if it's long enough. the sideburns get long and curly. if i bleach, you can still see them in the light. plus, they don't all get blonde from it either. if i shave, you can still see the spots where i shaved and plus it grows back so quickly. and it makes me feel like a guy and i'm a girl! i've done electrolysis on my upper lip in the past and it really hurt and will cost me a lot now. i gotta save up when i'm all settled into my (i'm recently out of grad school). i did laser too all over my face. problem with that was that i couldn't bleach, thread, or wax during that time and shaving really doesn't do a great job of getting rid of the hair for me like i mentioned. plus, i did 5 treatments when the doctor said i would need only 4. after the 5th, i asked about it and that's when he said it could take up to 20 treatments and i just couldn't afford that. that was about 2 years ago and now my hair is a lot worse than it was before i went in for the laser. i'm finally going to see an endocrinologist and get on some meds to see if they will help.

I have to shave 2x a day pretty much. It is very embarassing and it stops me from doing lots of things. Having to sneak a razor in a bar or concert just to shave silently in a stall? I would LOVE to only have to shave every OTHER day. The sides of my chin and my chin to the bottom of my throat is dark black hairs whereas the hair on my face by my side burns and down my cheek is blonde. So far anways...
