Post Anyone have this?

I was just diagnosed with diabetes this december. MY A1 came back wonderful, so my doc says my diabetes is well controlled.

However, lately I have been experiencing these wierd "pains" in the sides of my neck, usually on the right side. I can't really say they are pains, but I have never felt them before and they are there. So i guess they are more like sensations. But of course I worry.

Has anyone here had pains in their neck (no, really, literally) after being diagnosed with diabetes?

Hey there...
I have PCOS as well as Type I diabetes...
The pains in you neck could just be pains in your neck but my advise to you is to go to your doctor and have them listen to your neck with a stethescope.
Please don't worry when I say this okay? But sometimes if you have trouble with narrowing arteries, or blockages, it can be detected in your neck. I had a friend who had a bypass after her doctor heard some weird sounds in her neck.... but please, don't let this worry you! (like I can speak... I had a panic attack after she told me... but I checked out just fine!)
But anyway, to ease your mind and posibly catch a complication, go see your doctor... have your cholesterol checked and have them listen to your neck! Good luck! Pauline
