The reason for my spotting was low progesterone -- which can be supplemented. Can you ask your doctor to do a blood draw and check the number?

I bled up until 16 weeks, the beginning was worse, there were clots and everything, I was convinced it would be bad news, but things are working out so far. Good luck!

I bled until week 14 and i know have a very healthy and very active 9.5 month old daughter keeping me on my toes.

With DD we had spotting in weeks 5 and 10 and had a full out bleed with clots and everything at week 7. Hope everything turns out ok for you.

Hello there,
I had spotting with both pregnancies. (I am 6 months pregnant now, and have a three yr old).
With this second one, I had spotting and bleeding with a tiny clot but all is ok, my little one has a very strong heartbeat!
This kind of thing is actually pretty common.

I had bleeding for 2 weeks straight starting at 6w0d through 7w6d. I had 2 quant HCGs done both came back with stellar numbers and I had an early u/s done at 7w1d that showed a baby with cardiac activity. There was no sign of any reason why I should be spotting. I would alternate between brown spotting to bright red blood and at 7w4d I passed a 1/3 the size of my pinky finger size clot. That scared the crap outta me. I had one more u/s at 8w1d that again showed a bit larger baby with cardiac activity. I have had no spotting since and am now 20w0d and expecting a baby girl!
Oh...I just saw your update! Congrats on the twins! I'm so glad they are both doing ok!

I was going to say that I had the spotting also. Both my babies are good though. Enjoy your babies. Multiples in pregnancy and after is a whole nother ball game. Be good to yourself.

I'm so glad I found this thread. Last week I had some serious bleeding with clots and was convinced it was a miscarriage. All turned out ok - saw the baby with a heartbeat on the u/s. Still bleeding a bit, but feel a little better about it after reading this thread!

I had some spotting while on was on the suppositories. When I stopped them I had no more. Congrats on your twins!!

I needed this thread...
You'd think, I've had five healthy pregnancies, but I've never spotted in any of them.
I started spotting yesterday morning, early, after DH and I had engaged in some marital "togetherness" the night before, lol....it tapered off during the day....but this morning started back up again. :-( I did some lifting, though, this morning, before I saw it, so I suspect that is the cause....
