i thought it was my wellbutrin, but it started when i came off spiro in march. i was on 100 mg for about a year give or take. i went from 50 to 100 to 150, but stopped before getting pg. i never thought i got any results but after i stopped my hair is super major thin and i am seeing shiny scalp and my hairline is receding. i have been using nioxin which previously helped but not now. i am getting worried! i wonder if it will slow back down b/c it was not falling out this bad before being on it.

any advice or experience? i don't want to be a bald preganant hairdresser.

Hi, I'm not sure what spiro is, but I know that I was on nuvaring with no problems. I switched to Yazmin because I wanted to try it out and when I started having side effects, I stopped taking bc pills altogether. Suddenly, I lost A LOT of hair. Everytime I would shampoo I could grab handfuls out, same thing when I would brush it. And yes, my hairline was receding. My hair usually grows really fast but it wasn't growing at all during this time frame.

It took about 2 years, but it did start growing back. I even have new 'baby hairs' where my hairline was receding. I dont think I did anything different - it just grew back by itself.
