Anyone have success with Fortamet (different version of Metformin)?

I am a thin cyster and just started Fortamet 500 mg- working my way up to 1000 mg next week, which is where I will stay. Wondered if anyone has had luck with this brand of Metformin and how long it took to regular your cycles and did you O with it alone? I am scheduled to go back to the doctor in 1 month to re-evaluate how things are progressing and if we should add Clomid. Just looking for someone whose been in my similar situation.

So far, I am tolerating the drug just fine, which I am a bit surprised about.

I'm on Fortamet ( I had just assumed it was a generic of Glucophage xr which I was prescribed...)

No AF, no ovulation. I don't think any of my acne or hair growth has gotten any worse yet nothing has gotten much better either.

As far as side effects, first few weeks it was lots of gas, intestinal disturbances etc. but nothing I couldn't deal with.

I wish I could give a distinct answer but I'm still waiting to see-trying to be patient! Its been six weeks for me.
