Anyone have suggestions for acne on the back/shoulders
My little sis is having her junior prom this weekend, and the majority of her shoulders and upper back are exposed with the dress she's wearing.
She's always had a problem with acne on those areas (mostly just whiteheads, nothing cystic-like) and I was wondering what any of you do to help get rid of it. I'm sure there's not much she can do between now and Saturday, but I'm looking for suggestions for her for the long run.
I'd appreciate any advice you ladies have!

I've used Neutrogena Acne clear body wash, but honestly, my acne is related to hormones, so I always get them when AF is about to visit. Does your sister have long hair? One thing that I figured out was that I wasn't getting the conditioner that I put in my hair rinsed off my back very well, and it was contributing to my acne problem, so she might want to take extra time washing off her back or washing her back after she washes her hair. HTH!

I don`t suffer with a lot of spots, but if I do have one, tea tree oil definately works for me....an alternative would be to get the oil and put the recommended amount in your favourite bodywash...it says you can do that on the leaflet my oil comes with. I wouldn`t be without tea tree oil, I have seen it work on warts/athletes foot/cuts/grazes/spots. If you are not sure about it you could ask at chemist or drs before buying....I get mine from chemist.
It is the only antiseptic in my first aid box and in the bathroom.
Does she use heavy conditioners in her hair while in the shower? If she does this could be the problem.I used to breakout really bad on my back so i stopped using heavy conditioner and started using suave hair conditioner instead and started to use Dial(the plain white kind)just on my back and it dried up all the acne.I use dove on the rest of my body because the dial is VERY drying.

All I know is that I suffered from Acne from middle school until I was 28. All superficial, but on my arms, back and face. Finally when I was 28 I told myself no more! I had tried everything from topical to pills, etc... I finally decided to take acutane. It has been almost 2 yrs since I've taken the acutane...I RARELY get any pimples now. If she is not ttc, it may be an option. My lil bro took it too, same results for him. The worst of it was dry lips. I am so much happier now because of it and it really makes me wonder what took me so long.
