Default Anyone have terrible, unbelievable PMS??

Hi I'm new here. My history (in short!) is that I was diagnosed that I was 18 (I am 30 now), was on bcp for a few months...this was really weird because I was a virgin at that point...and then stopped for a few years with normal periods. Then suddenly they stopped again, and then I got on the pill for about 2 years, which I stopped again last year. Now my periods have a hard time coming again (does stress have anything to do with it????)...and am on bcp yet again, first week going now.

My question is, that I have the worst PMS during the time when I am supposed to have a period but just can't. I am a wreck and people wonder what the hell is wrong with me, since I am usually easy going. does anyoen else have this???

I have that problem. I was just doing that about a week ago. My DH was very upset cause I was just yelling and then crying. My guess that it is the surge of hormones that does it. I am going to ask about somthing for the PMS if I dont get PG this cycle.

Hey MSBlue,

YES! WE HAVE THIS! YES, stress plays a role.

I came off BCPs 2.5 years ago when I got married. For the last 9 months I have had such severe PMS that gets worse as each month goes by.
I have been in such bad shape that I cry when telling the doctor, it's so bad that I am considering taking vacation time just so I dont' have the opportunity to rip peoples heads off. Like you...THIS is NOT ME. And people don't really understand. It's just horrific...normally, I am friendly, laughing, carefree...this PMS effects my job, my marriage, friendships, family...

Anyway...I started to chart my cycles so I had data/proof on what was really going on with my body/fertility. Been doing that for 5 months. Now I have found a doctor that can 'read' the charts and prescribe what I need. Severe PMS (although most mainstrem docs seen to not know...oddly) that progesterone can pretty much help 95 percent of us that suffer from such horrid PMS. I finally got a prescription and will start taking it next week... and I will also start taking Insulite.

Anyway, read like crazy, get smart on your PCOS issues, and fight for your health as no one else will.

WE DO NOT HAVE TO FEEL LIKE HELL.
good luck
LL

Hi Ladies,

thanks for responding! Wow it's good to know that there are other women out there that feel like they are on the brink of losing their sanity and feeling psychotic. I've been going through hell because of it and also because of all the things I have to do, I got married three months ago, and now am trying to graduate from school. So you can understand the stress I'm under! I can't seem to decide if it is the stress that is just present that I can't take, or it is the PMS that makes me unable to deal these days. This is why I guess my doc put me on BCP again. he told me to come back after the standard three months and then see if I am coping with my stress better.

I had progestin pills before I started, these were to stimulate a period. But those things make me feel soooo nauseous! So it just seems like I just can't freaking win to be honest. I've just resigned to not feeling normal *ever*. This is funny because I'm actually having a good day today, retail therapy and all I've resolved to go to the gym to start working out again, and then maybe get some of this @#!@! weight off.

Thanks again, I'm so incredibly glad I found this site. I thought I Was alone out there.
