Default Anyone have trouble keeping weight on?

I've just been a little worried lately becuase I am having a hard time keeping weight on. I've been eating really healthy lately and have cut out junk food and sugary foods out of my diet, when I do eat these type of foods my hair problem and acne get bad, so I don't know what to do.

I'm tired of people always telling me how thin I've become and I can never seem to get to 45kg (Australian). I'm small, always have been. I'm really small boned and am only 150 cm tall.

Anyone have this problem?

Thank you for your help .

Smile Me too!

Hi Cristy

I can relate... I'm a tall thin cyster @ 5'10" and 126lbs and people are always telling me I'm too thin. Being a vegetarian I've always eaten lots of high carb meals (potatoes and rice) and quite a bit of sugary foods, and yet I never seem to gain weight. The only time I've ever gained weight was when I was on bcp and that was only about 10lbs. I'm also trying to eat healthier so I've lowered my carbs and cut out junk food. I don't want to lose any weight and am just hoping to become healthier, b/c dh and I are ttc. Are you ttc? Just curious b/c I've heard that it is more difficult for thin cysters to get pg, and that seems to be the case with me (2 years so far and nothing but bfns) I'm not sure what I'll do if I start to lose weight... maybe add extra calories with protien shakes or something.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one at the other end of the spectrum. Take Care

I've got the same problem. I've been very skinny all my life. Most of my adult life I have been 5' 3" tall and 90lbs. It doesn't seem to matter what I eat or how much I eat, I just don't gain weight.

Very thin "cyster"- 5' 3" and 90 lbs.
Only symptoms- long cycles, some acne and extra hair (where I don't want it)
Lap. with HSG in Jul. '02- all clear
Appear to be Clomid resistent
Both babies conceived naturally and without meds
Trouble with IUGR during pregnancy due to possible clotting disorder (have not been tested yet)

Smile congrats!!

Hey KT1979!

Congratulations on the bfp I'm happy to hear a success story from a thin cyster. If you don't mind me asking... were you on any meds when you conceived? I've tried clomid several times and ovulated every time on 50mg, but can't get pg. My SIL (who is a doctor) says I'm too thin to get pg, but people who are thinner than me get pg all the time! None of my doctors have thought my weight was an issue.

Anyway.. have a happy and healthy nine months!

Hi all.

I wouldn't say that I have trouble keeping weight on, but I can go one day without eating properly and it's like I lose weight overnight! lol

While I was pg I put on 35lbs, but my dd is now 14 weeks and I am already back down to my usual 126lbs.

People have been asking if I've been crash dieting since I gave birth, but I haven't.

Hi hempgirl!---no I was not on any meds when I got pregnant. My first pregnancy was totally unplanned and a big shock, and this pregnancy was also a big shock even though we'd been trying for 2 years. My BBT chart said that I did not ovulate, so I was blown right out of the water when my tests came back very dark positives. I think being very thin does make it quite difficult to become pregnant, but obviously, it's not impossible.
