Default anyone heard of.....

i posted on ttc ... but thought that some of you may have used this?

D-chiro-inositol??? i was reading "taking charge of your fertility" and it says that there have been good results with this... it's a natural supplement, which lowers insulin levels and allows for a natural ovulation???

I read about this in my fertility book too. (Natural Fertility, I believe) It is supposed to be some great stuff but I haven't been able to find it anywhere. I think it would definitly be worth a try....

I read a few studies on it and it looks promising. I am searching the net to see where I could get it and so far no luck. GNC website did not have it listed so I'll keep checking. If anyone knows where to find it in Canada and/or the U.S. please let us know =)

just my two cents::

my dad is a Pharmacist who owns his own pharmacy.... a lot of patients come in asking for a specific herb or vitamin... if he doesnt carry it, he will special order it for them

Check your local pharmacy (you'll probably have better luck at an independantly owned one) and ask them if they would order it OR if they know where you could! It's worth a shot

Default D-Chiro-Inositol

Hi Ladies,

I also looked into getting D-Chiro-Inositol but found that it was never produced for public consumption. It actually comes from buckwheat so if you can find buckwheat this is your best chance. I finally found it in a Russian store and it tastes quite good. You eat it sort of like rice.

Hope this helps.
