Default Anyone heard about benefits of Nutmeg?

Im new here as well as new to alternative therapies! So forgive me, if i ask too many questions that many of you may already know!

I heard that if you drink "nutmeg" in either a tea or mixed with juice it is beneficial for regulating menstrual cycles and conceiving. Have any of you heard of this????

Is nutmeg and cinnamon similar?? im gonna google it to see if any helpful info pops up, but thought maybe you guys have heard of this before!

Any information would be appreciated

Nutmeg is NOT similar to cinnamon. It's actually a poison, in large doses. I like to use wikipedia for a lot of information, as well as different sites that pop up from google, then compile the information.

SOME nutmeg is okay, but I'd personally be hesitant to use it in a sort of vitamin dosing. Chai tea might have nutmeg in it. I coulda swore I remember nutmeg being in the belladonna family along with nightshade, but I could be remembering wrong. I DO know it's a poison like arsenic in larger doses.

Not to alarm you or anyone!!

Nutmeg should not be used as a supplement. Cinnamon may be what you were thinking of. Nutmeg in large enough doses cause a hallucinogen effect that can last for 24 hours. It is not safe by any means to ingest large quantities of the spice.
