Question Anyone heard of Paeonia Lactiflora?

I got this book from Ebay, "Women, Hormones & The Menstrual Cycle" by Ruth Trickey. This book is great for anyone who needs to be reminded of how things are sussposed to work. PCOS is mentioned a few times. There's a part in the back where she talks about herbs. I'll tell you some of what it says about this one. It sounds so good I may try it next month if soy didn't do the trick this month.

Paeonia Lactiflora
(peony, bai shao)

Is effective in the treatment of PMS, PCOD, hyperprolactinaemia, ovulatory failure, infertility, endometriosis and adenomyosis.
Herb formulas containing peony will normalize ovarian function when the activity of aromatase is inhibited, but do not increase hormonal activity above normal or lead to the development of multiple ovarian follicles.
Peony containing formulas can also be used to treat lowered rates of fertility due to androgen excess. The two herb fomula, Liquorice and peony combination, reduces testosterone levels in women with PCOD and improves pregnancy rates. The LH to FSH ratio is also normalized.

Like I said It's just something to look into. Maybe some of you would be interested.

Interesting! I just read an article about aromatase inhibitors in relation to breast cancer (by way of my desperate search for things to help thicken my uterine lining). They lower the body's production of estrogen, so I'm not sure how that would work when TTC. ALl the hormones are so intertwined, hard to know WHAT the results would be.

Is P. lactiflora (heh heh--Latin for "milk flower") available in any fertility herb blends, I wonder?
