Wink Anyone heard of/used glyconutrients?

http://www.glycomannan.com/testimonials.php
There are diabetic patients who have used this and my sister sent it on to me to see if it might also help insulin resistance?

http://www.glycomannan.com/pure_difference.php
Shows what's in it...etc....

Apparently, there are good sugars that we don't get enough of because most don't eat a real healthy diet. And people who have taken this stuff say it supplements back those sugars?

I am just curious if anyone's heard about it... my sister has a coworker who's son was 'left for dead' by his cancer doc and started to take this stuff and was up and walking in a few days...with a full recovery from cancer.

Love to hear from you...

Glycco nutrients are very important!!! Important because they give your body the sugars it needs that are missing from the typical American diet. Don't get this confused with "sugar" as in candy and pop and sweets, but this is sugar as in glucose that your body needs for survival, and others, too. They have good effects on blood sugar and can help with diabetes, hypoglycemia and pcos.

For an affordable supplement, try this one: http://www.mynsp.com/naherbs/product...x?StockNum=876

Hi ladies,

I am a naturopath and one of my specialties is glyconutrient therapy. I am about to start a course in glycobiology to increase my knowledge.
I take them and find them fantastic, and have seen many people's health improve. We do not get enough in todays diet, even if we eat well, because of the way food is green harvested and not allowed to ripen naturally to develop the nutrients.
They help with cellular communication so they can affect every single cell in the body, and rather than being a treatment, they support the body's normal structure and function.

There are some good products in the natures sunshine range, but unfortunately, they are breaking patent laws by stating that they have a product with all eight glyconutrients. Only one company has the rights to a patented blend of all 8 sugars, and this is the one I recommend because it has had numerous studies done on it and every batch is tested to make sure it contains what the label says. I wouldn't take anything else.

I have tons of links, articles, and resources if anyonewants to look into it. And I have just started a pcos forum, with one section specifically for those who are taking these supps.

Nature's Sunshine tests every single batch, too. I am going to look into what you are saying about the patent laws, because they are so careful about stuff like that. Quality and integrity are their top priorities, so I have a feeling you might be mistaken about that. I am going to e-mail my district manager about that, and see what he has to say. Please don't think I'm trying to argue about it, but I know Nature's Sunshine very well, and I don't think they would risk their good reputation doing something like that. BUT I guess anything is possible. I am looking into it.

I will be curious to see how this discussion turns out. I love the quality of the NS stuff I have used in the past and am hesitant to use another brand I am not familiar with...so the more information shared to help other make choices the better....

SO, thanks Doll and Julie for speaking about the FACTS you both know of.

I will pm you both about the company name and patent details - I don't think I am allowed to publicly recommend certain brand names. I checked with one of the company directors and he said this product definitely infringes the patent.

The researchers that first discovered these nutrients developed a stabilised blend of them and then obtained patents. Recently, a company making a similar product was sued and forced to discontinue the product.

I was surprised to see NS have a glyco product, I do use a couple of their other products which I find good, but in australia, they don't have the glyco product. I'd be interested to see if your district manager knows anything about the patent, maybe NS is just unaware of the patent issues???

pm'ing now.....

I e-mailed him late yesterday, so I haven't heard back yet. I would be very surprised if this turns out to be true... not that I don't believe you are telling the truth, but I think there must be a reason NSP was able to make their product. Like, there was an issue with MetaboLife when NSP came out with a product called MetaboStart, and all they had to do was change the packaging (it looked very similar to MetaboLife's bottle) and the name (which is now called Metabo Max). So we'll see what happens.

I wonder if NSP maybe can't sell their Glyco Essentials in Australia - because I'm looking at the Australian site, www.nspaust.com.au, and I don't see Glyco Essentials anywhere. So maybe there is a reason they are able to sell them in the US, but not in Australia.

I heard back from the regional manager, and he said
"We are aware of this product from Mannatech but certainly have not breached any patent laws. I have requested some additional information from our marketing department and will forward it along as soon as I receive it."

So when he gets the information back to me, I will let you know what he says.
