We started the adoption preocess in Ontario, moved to Alberta, we started the process there then moved to B.C. This time we are absolutely not moving again!
We have contacted the public adoption people, filled out all the forms and we are now waiting to hear back on adoption/parenting class dates.
Just wondering if anyone here has adopted in B.C.
How was your experience?
What was the time frame?
Anyone have any advice or experiences to share?

Lisa...I am not moving ever again.
We have settled in Kelowna.
At first I hated it because of the fact I didn't want to leave Calgary but the longer we're here the more I fall in love with it.
beetlegirl, thats great that you are enjoying it there. I am surprised that you didn't want to leave Alberta, i couldnt wait to go. But i'm a born West Coaster.

Good luck BeetleGirl. My husband and I are from Kamloops but his family is in Kelowna. We are going to Vancouver tomorrow morning to a Fertility Clinic for the first time. We are thinking of getting but on an addoptoin list as well so let us know how things work out for you. Best of luck.

I am still dealing with the fertility clinic in Calgary but am in the process of getting referrals to all the clinics in B.C. to decide which one best suits us.
We have been doing the infertility thing for way too long.
How did your appointment go? Which clinic are you working with?

Well the adoption classes started last weekend & we have another one tomorrow and for the next two weekends the classes will be all day Saturday & Sunday...I feel bad for the people with lives.

Sorry I didn't call you to gtg for that weekend...we ended up in Seattle instead. I know we will be there soon. I will let you know and hopefully we can do coffee(or whatever since I don't drink coffee)
The class went well today...but so much of it seems like comon sense.

Our appointment in Vacouver went not to bad. The doc put me back on clomed (not sure of the spelling) If you do not mind me asking what all do those classes you have to go to involve? And also how did you go about starting your adoptoin process? My husband and I would like to get started on the process ourself but just do not know where to start. If you could give us some little tidbit that would be great. The clinic we are going to is part of Vancouver Gen. and it is in the Willow Pavilion. Do you know anyone who has been there?
