Hey nice to meet you. If you ever want to chat just e-mail me. I live near Melfort... I have been ttc for about 10yrs now. I am on Met 1000mg. and I am going to start taking 100mg of clomid on Sun. (July 8th) I have been on met for a month and with diet and excersise I have lost 11 pounds. My aunt said I looked 10 yrs younger when I showed her my pictures. I have not cut carbs out completely but have cut down a lot. The main thing I am still eating is br. bread (not too much). Oh and cereal in the morning. I have cut out chips, choc. bars, pop, cake, candy...u name it, it is gone except ice cream...That is the treat I will have. Eventually I might cut that out too. I have a long road ahead of me.

I`m in Saskatoon- we`re on the fence about TTC. I`m not sure if I`m 100% ready for it, so we`re seeing how it goes. I`d rather start now to have a better chance than to wait and have more problems. Good luck to you girls who are brave enough to go full force!

Hi, I'm in Lloydminster as well. DH and I have given up on TTC. After so many losses, my uterus is no longer strong enough to carry. I am having a complete hysterctomy on October 9, a week from now. My GYNO says that it is the only option I have left. DH and I came to terms with not having a child together a long time ago. Fortunately I have been blessed with two wonderful step-children. DH was a single dad when I met him and the kids live with us full time.

Hi Lisa... Sorry to hear about your upcoming surgery. It is so nice to see other people from SK in these forums. I am trying to lose some weight b4 I ttc again. I tried about 2-3 months ago with a big bust. I had just started met about 2 weeks b4 I tried...I know I didn't give my body enough time to get used to the met PLUS I was not at full doe yet, I just got "itchy". I would like to be at 40lbs lost b4 I try again.

I'm sure you'll lose the weight you want to. Just keep working hard at it. I've struggled with it ever since I was 16, before then I was all skin and bones...what I wouldn't give for those days again. I'd be happy being down to the size 14 I was when DH and I met almost 5 years ago. DR says that after this surgery, I should start losing at a faster rate than the 2-3 lbs a month I have been. My goal is to lose 50-60 lbs before my wedding next July.

I have been slacking off a bit (oopsies) not excuse, just tired. I was at a slump for about 2-3 weeks but last week I finally lost 4 lbs. I will weigh myself tomorrow and see if I lost anything this week. I weigh myself every Thurs. The ladies at the clinic are expecting me now, we have a barrel of laughs...

Well, I had my hysterectomy on October 9, as scheduled. Things went very well, and I've healed incredibly well. I have one more week before I go back to my DR for my follow-up. And I am happy to report that I feel better than I have in years. NO MORE PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And as an added bonus, the DR was right, I am losing lbs at a faster rate than before! It's been 5 weeks since my surgery and I've lost almost 15 lbs! I am so excited. I can't wait till next week when I see my DR and get the green light to go back to my normal activities. I'm sure I'll lose even faster once I get back exercising and on my treadmill again.
