OMG are you seriouse about UT Southwestern a HUGE medical school doesnt have another doctor familiar and who treats PCOS? Makes me wonder about that medical school lol Its a shame when you lose a great doctor. I've never had any experiances with Dr Mikilus. I currently use Dr David Fienstien @ Medical City for my Type 2 diabeties ( I'm on a insulin pump) and PCOS not really happy with him he is not agressive at all just kinda takes your money and doesnt do anything. So I'm also looking for another endocrineologist that is willing to acutally help me instead of taking my money and not doing anything plus I need a doctor who can be supportive of me being on SSDI. Some doctors dont feel that diabeties is dabilitateing ( I also have alot of other issues to as a result of uncontroled blood sugars) I have a apointment with Dr Peter Bressler in May, I'm hoping that he will be what I'm looking for in a doctor. I hope that your apointment goes well.
When I got the letter stating that Dr. Wyne was leaving , they had said that they would assign me another dr. When i called to ask them who that Dr. is, I was told that I was being referred back to my PCP as there was no other dr. in UT who dealt with my diagnoses (PCOS and Syndrome X) - Shocked, surprised and disappointed!!
I was in search of a dr. who would help me manage my PCOS as I am not TTC right now.
Thankx for your input.

I was officially diagnosed by my obgyn at utsouthwestern, but she also left. Dr. Sree. Too bad, seems like she was the only one that knew what was going on with me.

I've heard that Phillip Raskin is really good at Ut Southwestern, he is suppose to be one of those big time reserachers in the endocrineologyst department who actually still practices clinical endocrineologiy. Its a shame that he isnt on my insurance plan other wise I'd use him for my very very very extream insulin resistance issues. I take u500 via insulin pump and still have extreamly high sugars.
Initially I had called Dr. Samuel Marynick. I was told he was an expert in PCOS but his office does not accept any insurance. The people who visit him pay out of pocket and then get reimbursed by their insurance as 'outof-network'. So i dropped the idea.
I will surely let you all know about Dr. Malikus. My Appt is in the end of June though.
