Hello ladies.
I've been reading alot lately how PCOSers are at high risk of non-alcholic fatty livers. Another thing to worry about huh? Well, I also been reading about liver cleaners. So I bought some MilkThistle for my dh and I. The bottle says take 2-3 times a day.......
Do I take this from now on out or what?....Or how long should we take the MilkThistle? How will we know when our liver is cleaned out?
I just don't want to take it for a long period of time if I'm not supposed to.

The bottle I have says to take 1 capsule daily. I just take 1 every morning when I take my vitamins. I also worry about damage to my liver and am hoping this will prevent any problems

I was going to only take 1 a day anyways. 2-3 seems like alot, but it is what my bottle says...lol...

It really depends on how much mg is in a capsule, so maybe your have less that why the bottle say more and jlbrown 1capsule covers the RDA. I do not know what the RDA but I know different compnay sell different quantity in capsule so i suggest you do a yahoo/google on the RDA and see how much capsules you need to take.

Sandra Cabot's 'the liver cleansing diet' is a good book to get to do in conjunction to taking the milk thistle for a thorough liver cleanout. I think she recommends taking it for the entire time of the diet, which is 8 weeks.
