Um, yeah so that's my question. My doc said that my insulin levels were in the normal range, but on the high end of the normal range. I *thought* i had IR, i was diagnosed with it about a year ago, but now i guess i don't, and i have really been wanting to try met can i still?

My fasting was 5 but something sure goes haywire if I have "any" carbohydrates, (except vegetables). I was a miserable blood sugar mess before Met. I hope your doctor will let you try it. It has been a miracle drug for me!

My RE says I'm not IR even though I've never had a fasting glucose. On my request she prescribed 1500mg of Met.
