Hi Guys,

I've been lurking on this board for awhile and figured it was finally time for me to join in, so here goes...I just recently finished my second cycle on Clomid (1st was 50mg, 2nd was 100mg), and unfortunately, I didn't ovulate on either of the Clomid cycles. This cycle I'm taking a break from the Clomid and the RE has started me on Metformin, and will possibly add Clomid to the mix in my next cycle. Has anyone who didn't O on Clomid alone actually O on Clomid + Metformin?

Yes I did. I took clomid alone when I was younger with no O so I thought that it wouldn't work for me. Then when I went to the RE he put me on Met 1500 mg and I O'd the first month on it, also the first time ever!!! Then the second month no O on met alone so he put me on Clomid 150 mg along with the met and I O'd and got my BFP!!!! So don't give up hope!!!

I did 2 rounds of Clomid....and nothing happened. Started Met. on 9/23, Got a + OPK on 9/16 and AF on 10/31. With the clomid I had to use provera to start AF. I am going to see what happens this cycle with just Metformin alone. Best wishes!

well I never took clomid alone without met so i don't know about that. My doctor had me on met for 6 months and then put me on clomid. Luckily I got pregnant on my first cycle of clomid. I think being on the met encreased my chances. Good luck!
