Default Anyone out there whom Metformin did not help?

I think I am gonna try something else.Avandia or Actos and see how it goes.Met side effects are to much for me.If Met did not work for you,is there anything that did?

I've been on Avandia now for over a month and I really like it. It seems to be doing almost the same thing as the met. I have already had what I think was a normal cycle...and that is why I was taking the met in the first place. The only difference I have noticed is with acne. The met really helped my complexion almost immediately...the Avandia is helping but not nearly as much. However, there are absolutely NO side effects with this drug and that means I can keep taking it!

I'm hoping that the cycles the Avandia brings on will be ovulatory but I don't know that for sure just yet.

I have been taking met for almost 2 years straight and don't really feel like it is helping me. I have yet to have a normal cycle, still gain weight, still have excess hair. I have my pap coming up so I am going to ask my dr about other options. I am wanting to TTC but that is almost impossible when I don't have a normal cycle!
