Anyone on Ovcon?

I was put on Ovcon to help regulate my irregular cycles. The following may be a little TMI....so beware!

Anyway, I remebered after I started taking them(have been taking them for two weeks..tomorrow) that another doctor had me take them about 4 years ago and I had nonstop bleeding for a whole month and was extremely crampy. I quit taking them then. Well I started what I think was a menstrual cycle on Wednesday. The thing is when I wiped there was a little blood & some on the pad as well, but nothing when I urinated. It was like this until this morning and now nothing. Also Friday afternoon, I started having trouble breathing, well not trouble, but it felt as if I had to keep taking deep breaths, like I couldn't catch my breath every once in awhile. I continued doing this through last night, feeling a little better today, but haven't taken the Ovcon yet either.

I am also taking Metformin, Spironolactone, & Adipex so I'm not sure if it's the Ovcon that is causing this or something else. Any help would be appreciated. I'm going to call the doctors office tomorrow and talk to the nurse, but if anyone can help me out here to ease my mind a bit then I would be greatful.

I just finished my third month of Ovcon, and sadly I'm going off of it.

The pros:

No effect on libido
No weight gain (but I have found that I LOSE weight when I'm on all pills)
No breast tenderness
No more cyclical moodiness than normal

The cons: (and what made me quit)

One period every other week -- week two and week four (placebo pill week). The periods that I had were light, but they were there for two full weeks each month. To be honest, if the issue of using the pills for their stated purpose wasn't an issue at the moment, this is the pill I'd take. The light periods were mostly inconvenient -- put in a light tampon or a light pad and forget about it.

I had normal for me PMS symptoms -- hungry, horny, and sleepy right before my period started, but so many of the other pills made me feel dead inside, that I view this as a plus.

I'm off to try Yasmin next month -- hopefully it will be fine for me.
