I'm starting Provera today (18mths of no af). My doctor(new) prescribed it for 5 days 20 mg. It's been awhile since I have taken this but my old doctor always prescribed 10 mg for 10 days and the pharmacist even questioned the dosage. Is anyone else on this dosage?

Yes, I just finished a 5 day 10mg twice a day (20mg/day) regimen of Provera yesterday. I'm near CD 60. For the next cycle, she told me I can go to 10mg for 10 days. I think 20mg/day is supposed to really make AF come right away. I'll find out soon, I hope.

I'm on 10mg of Provera for 7 days....I'm on the last day, and still no AF. Is she supposed to come after all the pills are taken? I had no AF in 18 months, also. I'm TTC baby #2, and I guess this is the first step I'm taking into all of that. I was just diagnosed about a month ago and it's all pretty overwhelming. Any insight into this mysterious thing is very helpful for me. So I'm right along with ya Tresead. Bye!
It would take as long as a week after when I took the 10 mg for 10 days. So, it could be a few days. I'm on day 3 and I don't even feel like it is trying to come. I'm so frustrated. It's been 18 mths and all my bloodwork came back that everything was within normal range. My testosterone was on the high end of normal but that's about it. I hope we both see her soon.

I took this for the first time ever on 3/23. It was 3 months w/ no AF.
I got AF on 4/2 so it came about 8 days after.

I just got AF this morning so that was 5 days after finishing the pills (finished Friday night). I had no cramps or anything until today so just because you might be feeling nothing, does not mean anything bad. good luck!

20mgs seems like a lot to me. I was on 10mg for 10 days every month, but was a stark raving lunatic. My doc said I could do 5mgs 5 days a month every other month and it did the trick without me being a lunatic (or less of one anyway).

i did 10mgs for 5days... i usually get af 5days later... this last time it was 12?? but the doc said anywere up to 14days after last pill is normal

Well, af did come sooner for me on 5 days than when I have taken it for 10 days. It came 4 days after, so Sunday was cd1. Hoping that this and met will help with ttc.
