hello all-
this is my first post-woo hoo! i was diagnosed with pcos about 7 years ago. i've been married for 3 years now. i have been off birth control for 2 years. i've taken metformin off and on for the past 7 years. i've been taking 1500 mg of glumetza (generic metformin that doesn't bother my stomach as much) for a little over 1 month. i got AF 1 week into my taking glumetza! haven't had another cycle yet...i've also lost 40 lbs. over the last 8 months.

over the past 2 years, my husband and i haven't been trying to get pregnant necessarily, but having been preventing it...no luck. we're at the point now where we are seriously TTC. i went to a new OB/GYN today (my previous one retired) to discuss my infertility. i was hoping she would prescribe clomid to take with the glumetza, as i've read a lot of people on here take both and seem to have success. no luck-she said she thinks the glumetza will help and if i lose another 20 lbs. i should be in good shape.

has anyone else out there had success JUST by taking glumetza??? can't wait to hear your stories.
