So AF decided to come this morning. Not what I was hoping for, but certainly God has a plan for me and who am I to argue with it! Is anyone else starting Follistim this week? I'm starting for the first time. I must admit that I'm a little nervous about my new life as a pincushion, but I know that the chances of getting a BFP are higher with the injectables. So maybe it will do the trick for me!

I don't want to jump in too early but I'm waiting for AF and then I will be starting injects! I'm not sure which one yet. I did a round of clomid + repronex injects last year and got two follies. I'm kind of nervous to do a cycle of injects only but I am also excited at what it might bring!!

I'm nervous to start injectables, since all I've known for 8 cycles is the dreadful Clomid and it's ugly side effects. I don't know what dose they are starting me on with the Follistim. I know my doctor wants to start slow, build slowly, and not overstim right away. So. . .

I start follistim tonight...this is my 4th cycle on it ( not back to back) since ttc after having my 2yr old that I concieved on my 2nd rnd of follisitm.
This time my DR is adding menupor next week

Unfortunately, I can't start for another month now. I went for baselines today and I had a cyst that is mass producing estrogen. So...I have to take bcp for a month. So I'm on a forced one month break.

I start Follistim tonight-150...little nervous about the needles.
Got my blood work back today, FSH was 9 and Estradinol was 32...she said that was good, so I guess it is.
Don't go back until next Tuesday.

Laura, those are good numbers. My FSH was 13.5, not at all a good number and reason for concern of my doctor. My E2 was over 250 because I have a functional cyst. So...

they just upped my follistim to 225 units and menopur staying at 75. I went today and only had 1 measureable follicle and my Estrogen was only at 52. I have to mix the two together and use a horse needle in the butt and it's not bad at all. The meds sting going in but the needle isn't as bad as it looks in the package. the only side effects I've had is tired, and a little weight gain. Nothing like when I was on clomid
No kidding-clomid is the worst...I cried at the drop of a hat!
I did my first injects last night and couldn't believe it...didn't hurt at all, I couldn't even feel the needle!

Tonight will be my third day of follistim this cycle, and I am anxious for tuesday to get here so I can see where I am how much menopur he is going to have me take.
