Well, Dr. Martin's office called today and I'm going in to see him next Tuesday! They had a cancellation so I was able to get in pretty quick. Good timing - it'll be day 10 of my cycle, so he can monitor if he wants to.
i have mixed feeling about Dr. Martin....although he is a gerat doctor he is waaaaay to busy. when i started seeing him it would take me maybe 3 weeks to get an appointment, now it is 3 months. They hired on some new doctors who ( in my opinion, only know what they read in a text book) and i don't know about you but i don't have "text book" symptoms. Pat is great! she is always available to talk to when i have questions and she always takes the time to explain everything! I hope you can get a cycle in before they go on holidays and maybe we will run into eachother one day!
I did clomid & femara this cycle, so we're waiting it out. If I don't get a BFP this time 'round, then we're moving on to IUI. The day we went, they were actually running very late but were very apologetic about it. My DH actually had to miss the appointment because he had to get to work and couldn't wait any longer. Despite that, though, they were all very nice, and if I have to go through with the IUI and all the testing that goes along with it, then I'm happy to be going through the SOFT clinic!
I too left U.H. (had Dr Feyles) and have never looked back! I really like Dr Martin, I can't say enough good things about him and his staff! His clinic has gotten pretty busy since I first started with him in Feb'07. Like someone previously said "it's too bad there aren't more Dr Martins out there!". We're going through IVFw/ICSI and no matter what the outcome I have full confidence in Dr Martin and am so glad that we switched. I would never have felt as comfortable or confident with Dr Feyles.
Best wishes to you all!!

I too went to SOFT and had great experiences. Took an 8 month wait to have the Ovarian Cautery Lap done, that was such a long wait because I started over responding to injectables and not ovulating on Clomid/Femara/Dexamethasone. They are very nice and willing to answer questions there, though sometimes you ge tthe odd bloodwork nurse that is crabby..... Sometimes I think I need an ultrasound and they say no....other ones will order it just to reassure me.... I have concieved finally there though after the Ovarian Cautery, I was pregnant 1 month later. My daughter is now 10 months old. I am going to go again for the next one.
Hi! I made it to page 5, so sorry if I missed anything re: Hamilton/Burlington

Dr Wu off North Shore
New life: off plains rd/fairview exit 99
ONE fertility:off guelph line (this is the new HHS clinic or Centre for Reproductive Care - not open yet)
HAMILTON:
HEART - near St Joes
THANK YOU!!!!!!

Hey I currently go to university in London (Western), but i am from the Durham Region. This is going to be a little random, but; canadiangirlttc i used to have a dog that looked almost identical to the one in your picture, i have never seen anything look that close to the way my dog looked
I'm another London girl and my current GP (Dr Al Mawji) is managing things well enough with occasional prompting. Me and my hubby are not TCC. I know, I'm the odd one out here with that but it's true for now ... But down the road in the next year or so we might start trying.
I'm on metformin 1500mg and finally getting accustomed to the dose.

Andreaplants - I read on another thread that the ONE clinic in burlington was starting to take patients in May 2009 and the doctors were all from CFC in Hamilton. Hope that helps.
