Default Anyone take Norethisterone?

Hi, was just wondering if anyone on the site took the drug Norethisterone, park known as Utovlan to help with heavy periods? I take it every period I get as it eases the pain before I come on and also the heaviness of AF. I know its a breast cancer drug but it helps me a lot. I have not heard or seen anyone else take it and was wondering if anyone does?

Yeah its a weird one. Im not sure why I am on it. The Dr made it sdound like such an obvious choice yet so many on here have never heard of it!

Same with me- I'm totally confused though because I'm supposed to take it if after 30 days I havent gotten my period/ovulated. But my problem is I spot every 20-24 days so do I count that as a period?!??

I swear I feel like my doc has no idea who I am and just read my chart: PCOS, irregular cycles and prescribed this medication based on that without really thinking about my specific situation.

anyway let me know what its like, i hope i ovulate, but probably not so i'm getting ready to take it in hmm... about 21 days lol
