Okay here is the deal. I am trying to start a period, I have already had a failed attempt with taking prometrium for 200mg for 10 days. So now my doctor has put me on 2 doses of Premarin 1.25mg per day for 10 days and then after I have completed them I take Prometrium 200mg again for 10 days. All in hopes of being able to start my first cycle of Clomid. Has anyone else had to do this. Everything I look up about Premarin has to due with helping menopausal women with hot flashes and vaginal dryness, plus it has tons of crazy side effects. I feel like I shouldn't question the doctor, I mean he is a professional. I am just hoping that one of you ladies can tell me about your experience if you have done this before. Thanks!!
I took premarin to try to thicken my lining. it didn't work. I had marginal success with estrogen patches instead as these are absorbed directly and by pass the liver. I think what your doc is doing should work as a combination of estrogen and progesterone is considered the best way to start AF (as bc pills). HTH

I took it to stop my period because it just wouldn't go off. I think it stayed on for over a month. my doc had me taking 2 pills every 6 hours. IT WORKED!!!
Well I am on day 4 of estrogen and I am starting to spot. I called my doctor to see what to do next and I am supposed to keep taking it until I have heavy flow. I guess if it doesn't get heavy I need to keep taking the estrogen and prometrium until it does. I am doing this to be able to start taking clomid, the things we do to conceive. Did you guys notice that you bruise easier while taking premarin? The other day in the shower I looked down and had this huge black and purple bruise on my leg, this is the worst bruise I have ever had. I don't remember anything out of the ordinary happening, my husband tickles me sometimes by grabbing my leg but that is about it. This bruise looks like someone punched my leg hard. Weird huh?

which part of ur cycle did u take the premarin?? Did u manage to conceive on that cycle??
I am doing Clomid+repronex and now my RE asked me to use estrogen patch(Climara) similar to premarin but then I see that both these drugs are category X drug meaning they seem to develope birth defects . I am so confused and donno what to do.
any help on this will be appreciated.
