Anyone taking Lexapro (or other SSRI's) using Evening Primrose Oil?
Hi girls,
I'm using Lexapro, and would like to start taking Evening Primrose Oil, as a lot of cysters have told me they've had good results with it. I'm not able to get into my doctor until February, so I was wondering if any Lexapro (or other SSRI users) were taking it, and if so, did it affect your anti-D's in any way shape or form?
kath, try calling your pharmacy and asking it they know of any interactions. i checked my reference books and didn't see anything listed under lexapro or evening primrose oil. the only real contraindication that i am seeing to evening primrose oil is epilepsy.
this has some pretty good information, plus some interactions. lexapro is NOT listed. http://tinyurl.com/7m4yc
hey, this site is pretty cool, it's from the pdr and is rather extensive: http://tinyurl.com/dlnfz

Thanks so much Isenephthys! This stuff is apparently even better than I thought Maybe this is why I haven't experienced my conventional "going off of BCP acne flare up"?
Fascinating!
