Default Anyone taking Met & Aldactone/spirnolactone?

I was just wondering if you take them at the same time? I have been taking them at the same time and it seems like I'm having a worse reaction to Met than what I have been having. I'm just trying to distinguish if its from taking them together.

THank you!

I take metformin and spironolactone, together, after dinner. The metformin is extended release (take it all at once daily). I also take a spironolactone with breakfast, since I take 2 doses. I haven't noticed any odd reactions with the combination, but metformin alone does a number on me if I wait too long to eat breakfast in the morning (like if I sleep in).

I hope you find out soon what is giving you side effects.

I take Met & Spiro together at breakfast, Met at lunch, and then Met & Spiro together at either dinner or before bed. I don't have any problems taking them together.

Are you taking your meds with food or on an empty stomach? Have you tried spacing them out and taking them at different times during the day?

I take them together generally right after I eat lunch... I don't know what it is. I think I may try taking spirnolactone first thing in the morning and then my Met with my lunch. Hopefully, that will help. Thank you for your help!

I was on both (taking them together at breakfast), but had to quit...the spiro made my periods disappear.

Hope it helps.
