Default Anyone Tried Dutasteride (Avodart)

It is a powerful DHT blocker and I am thinking about asking my doctor to prescribe it for my hairloss.

Here's a link about it if anyone is interested.

I don't know much about it EXCEPT that the commercial says it shouldn't even be handled by women, due to risk of birth defects.

Even if you're not TTC, it sounds high risk and I don't think I'd want to put it in my body.

Well back to the drawing board. It seems that everything that would really help us is bad for us. When will they really come up with something to help us out. I thought about taking flutamide but it damages the liver. It just seems there is nothing oout there to really help us.

I think if its only very bad side effect is birth defects, its unfair not to let women have it. I mean they prescribe aldactone, finisteride, and best of all ACCUTANE all of which have been shown to cause INCREDIBLE birth defects and they want to use the excuse birth defects for this? I don't think so. the irony is just too much

I have hair loss but I would only take something like that after I have the number of kids I want and then get my tubes tied. But that's wishful thinking...
