I have tried it and it was the worse thing I ever did for my skin. It was very expensive about $1700 for 6 treatments. It burned my skin and made my acne worse. I have not met anyone who had desirable results, but I'm sure it works for some people...at least that's what I was told. I would not recommend it for anyone...the risks aren't worth it.
thanks for letting me know about your experience with IPL... sorry to hear it hasnt worked for you... I did speak to my mum's dermatologist and although they dont offer the procedure, he suggested the only 'risk' was that if the acne was cystic it might not work, and the beautician i had my consultation with said i might get more spotty for a week or so if the toxins are near to the surface of my skin, but if you drink enough water in an ideal situation this wont happen. i'm going to have one session and see how it goes. i've got it booked for later on this month - i've decided to give it a go, cos ive tried everything and am so fed up of still being like a spotty teenager at the age of 21!! have you found anything that has helped you?

After trying nearly every product on the market...I found that just using BP and gentle washing worked best. I'm almost break out free. There is a website....acne.org and it has some good info. I wish I would have tried this route sooner. I would have save a lot of money.
I've tried the IPL and had one microdermabrasion - have had it at a highly reccommended salon in london. my skin was a bit worse for a while but my therapist said that wa to be expected, but its now improving, spots are coming up less and when they do they go away quicker. i would reccommend it if u've tried everything else, BUT make sure u use a very good, experienced beauty therapist.

I have had 3 treatments of IPL so far. It has made some of my acne scars lighten and I am not breaking out as badly as I used to, but I still break out. It turns my face pink (like I have a sunburn) and the only bad thing is that you can't go in the sun for 48hrs. I go back at the end of March to either get another treatment or just do a followup. The medicine they put on stays on my face for a half hour now. My Dr took pics of my face before my first treatment and he'll take another set when I go back. I want to see them to see if there is a big difference. People have said my face looks good. So far I have had no complaints or bad reactions.
