Question Anyone try pro activ???

I have acne problems around my jaw line. Nothing I have tried in the past has cleared me up. I was wondering if anyone here has tried pro activ and if so did it help??

Thanks Janslem

I used Proactiv religiously, and I swear by it. I've tried numerous different skin care lines (Mary Kay, Clinique, rx medications, etc.) and it's the only thing I've found that works for me. Keep in mind that everyone's skin is different and that there's no one cure for everyone. I'd definitely give it a shot though.... It could be what works for you!

Good luck!

I tried Proactiv once about 5-7 years ago with moderate success. It worked best for the smaller blemishes, but did nothing for the cystic kind.

Recently I tried it again for 3-4 months and found my skin was actually worse - more and larger blemishes that wouldn't heal at all. I stuck with it to see if it was just the change of product but it never cleared, so I cancelled my membership.

Between Spiro and the Philosophy "Acne" kit products, my skin is finally calming down in a way it hasn't in years.

Give it a shot, it might work for you - and it has a money-back guarantee! If it doesn't work, give the Philosophy product line a shot. I would personally never use anything else.

I love ProActiv! It's the only thing (and I've been on antibiotics, retin-a, accutane, bcp, spiro, etc. ) that cleared my skin up. Every one is different and there are no guarantees it will work for you but they do have a money back gaurantee so the way I see it you have nothing to lose. Let us know if you decide to use it and if you have success with it. I wish you the best!

I use ProActiv. I've used it for, oh... goodness. I think since October of '02. But maybe it was '03. But I think it was '02.

Anyhow, I do like the product line. I usually just wash my face in the morning. A lot of times if I wash my face twice with it, my skin gets pretty oily and breaks out.

But in all, I've found my skin has a better quality. But I still break out in some areas, and I still have blackheads on my nose.

I don't know that I have the energy to go about cancelling it and trying anything else though.

Still, everyone's skin is different. Some will swear by it and mean it, and some will say they used it and it was only okay, or didn't work at all.

I used this a few years ago with a lot of success for the first few months. After that, however, my skin began to get worse. It cleared up after I stopped using the product. It was an odd thing. But, I know that a lot of people have had a lot of success with it. Maybe it just works better for some people than others.

Default acne

HI! I tried pro activ religiously for several months & no change! The thing I've found to work the best is simple liquid soap & water 3 times daily. The acne doesn't completely disappear, but there has been a drastic decrease in break outs!

I used it when I was in high school and it didn't clear me up. Again, I think it just depends on your body. I use The Body Shop's tea tree oil facial wash, between that and Metformin, my skin is looking tons better.

I think it's a combination of rather you on some for of bcp(Yaz, Sprio, or another form of bc) and using it. I think this combination makes for your skin to clear up, but each person is so very different, some say it made their skin worse others swear by it. I've have used pro-activ for quit some time, but since I'm off of bc my skin is worse even with pro-activ. The acne I have now I know is from hormones, so I'm going to have to get them balance some how w/out bc, and see what may work for me.

I used it and it didn't work for me and I didn't like how it bleached out my sheets and towels. (the benzoyl peroxide in the cleanser and treatment gel) However, I do know people it does work for so like restfulhaven said, it is different for every person.

I get acne around my jawline too!!!!! It is like an acne beard! Along with my real beard - lol!!! Proactive works for me. They also have a knockoff at Wallgreens called Klear Action that is the exact same thing for half the price- it even comes in the 3 step pack. There is NO difference between that and Proactive.

I think it is 30-50 dollars a kit depending on what kit you get. When i used it I think it was 30 dollars and they sent it to me in the mail each month and billed me.

I saw an advert on TV in Sweden for this last month, it made me laugh it was such a selling things, all these promises about what it did.... I am not sure if I could fall for that and it was so expensive in Swedish money anyway!
