Default Anyone use natural progesterone cream?

Have any of you used Natural Progesterone cream before? I have been reading on it some on the web and it sounds too good to be true. I wonder why it's not used more for women w/ PCOS....I guess because doctors like to promote the pharmaceutical industry.

Some of the positive effects of it that I have read are: helps use fat for energy and keep it off hips, natural diuretic, natural anti-depressant, increases libido (dont know about any of you but I definitely need this), increases glucose tolerance and if you use it at certain times during your cycle, it's supposed to prevent pregnancy. I've made an appointment w/ my ob/gyn for next week and I am going to ask him if I can try this and go off my bcp and my anti-depressant. Has anyone else used this?

I am currently on natural Progesterone cream and have seen an improvement so far. I would recommend it if you can find a doctor who is knowledgable about it and is willing to deal with it, I had to go through two other doctor's before I found one willing to try it. The article below is just one of the things that prompted me to try it.

Hope it helps for you!

Talking Inexpensive NPC

I found some progesterone cream for 6.83 USD for 2 oz, so far this is the cheapest I have found. Here's the link...

http://www.ourhealthcoop.com/ourhealth_pr.htm

If you've found it cheaper than that, please post.

Thanks,

Eileah

I thought I would add to your post by saying I get natural progesterone from my dr that is called Prometrium. It is RX though and you have go to the pharmcay.....but everthing you mentioned above like diuretic,anti-deppressant,and inhibits ovulation, all of the above is true with the pill form. For me anyway. But,however,I only have one ovary and I take it to induce AF and hopefully become a BFP......some how,it is not a birth control....LOL Good LUck!!!

I have been thinking about using NPC. I just starting taking Met a little over a week ago, and I was already at CD 20 something. So even if I did ovulate, the lining wouldn't be "fresh". Plus I have been reading that natural progesterone can help with PCOS. So I figure it is worth a try.
Part of me wants to try NPC NOW...but another part of me thinks I should wait another week or so. I'm also not sure when I wanna try upping my Met to 1000mg.
So many questions......
(sigh)
