Question Anyone used Sona hair removal

Are they any good? I'd been thinking that I wanted to go to a doc for hair removal, but Sona just opened near me. A nurse does the removal, though. Do you think they'd be as understanding of a medical condition there? I'm worried that they'll think I'm a circus freak. I wouldn't have to worry about that from a doc.

Help!

I actually starting going to Sona in April. They are really great. The only thing I don't like is it's usally a different nurse every time you go. They ask you if you have PCOS when you sign up and fill out all of the paper work. The only thing that sux is they require you buy a whole treatment package which includes 5 treatments for each area. I'm getting practically my whole face done though so it was worth it. Do they have specials in your area? They have buy one get one free here or they will have a 50% off treatment package special. I hope this helps. I go back in about 3 weeks for another treatment. So far it's working really well. Just have to be patient when the hair starts growing back. (no plucking, waxing etc..just shaving allowed ugh)

Sabrina, so they don't act weird that you've got a beard? That's my fear - that I'll get in there and somebody will make a stupid comment.

Viv, I really doubt that someone who works in a hair remowal clinic will make silly comments about facial hair. I do understand your concern, though.
Good luck, and I hope it works out!

Thumbs up

That was my greatest fear when I went to see them. (I have a beard myself) They were really great about it. You also have a meeting/consultation with one of the managers of the center before you schedule your first treatment where you can talk about anything and everything that you put on your paperwork. I was really nervous but so far nobody has mentioned or said anything. They are just really helpful by telling you what to expect and what they are going to be doing etc..
