There are a lot of women here who use it, but they usually refer to it by its generic name spironolactone, or sometimes spiro for short. If you try searching for that you'll probably have better luck. hth! Welcome to SoulCysters!

hi

I've been on spiro (spironolactone) for years. I find it quite good.

i've had luck with aldactone. it takes a few months to really start noticing a difference, but it's helped both with the amount of dark, terminal facial hairs as well as a reduction in the amount of scalp shedding.

i hope it works out for you! it does take time and i didn't notice the real difference until i went off it for a month or so b/c of financial constraints... that's when all the shedding and growth started back. i was like ugh! i make sure to have enough $ for meds now...
