Hi,
I have been reading previous posts about Yasmin b/c I might start it up soon. I have been reading about libido problems. I was wondering if anyone did not have a libido problem on Yasmin? Or if you did have a libido problem, could you please let me know too?
Also, has anyone been on Demulen? I took Demulen as a teenager and did really well with it... however, I didn't have any PCOS problems... that came at about age 20. Anyone on Demulen?

Not on demulen, but I'm going on my 4th month on Yasmin and I have not noticed any difference from before I was on it.

To be honest, I just don't know if I can pin the low libido on Yasmin, but I certainly do have a problem... I sometimes wonder if PCOS has a generalized effect on some women's libido, because it has been a big issue for me. I just can't say for sure if it's Yasmin or the way I am naturally...

I took demulen first when I was 15 or 16 and I took it for about 5 or 6 years. I've been on Yasmin for a little while. I had a higher sex drive as a teenager, and I think on demulen too. But I cant tell if it's just the stress I'm under that coincides with me taking yasmin, or the loss of libido is due to yasmin. I'm still trying to figure it out.
Demulen gave me awful mood swings, and I don't have them with yasmin, but I'm more anxious.

Though, I am extremely bloated. My pants don't fit! Argh! I am hoping that it'll go away soon!!

Yasmin hasn't had any impact on my sex drive. I'm absolutely loving it as far as bcp goes. I had plateuaed with my weight loss when I was on Diane 35, after switching to Yasmin my weight loss has restarted. My skin is 100% clear as well. I hope you have as much luck with it as I do!

Did you happen to get bloated when you first started taking it? I am so bloated that my pants are not fitting and I am hoping that it'll go away. If it doesn't I am definitely going to start taking a different pill. It is really making me depressed. I certainly hope that it is just water weight

I don't remember if it impacted my sex drive in any way. I do remember gaining like 7 lbs while taking it, which is ironic cause I thought it was the pill that was supposed to help you lose weight or something like that.
I can definitely say while on Yasmin especially the first couple of months, my libido was upped, which after doing some reading is a bit unusual. After some time though I felt back to my old self. I think anything you take hormonally has the possibility to sway you in one direction or the other, but eventually the body normalizes.
I was on three different pills and I liked Yasmin a lot. My skin looked good too. I used to get occassional pimples but I was all clear while on it.

It didn't cause bloating for me that I can remember. Everyone is so different as far as bcp is concerned. I'd for sure try a different one if it doesn't go away soon.
