Question Anyone wear a hairpiece?

Or a wig? Yes my hair loss is so bad I'm considering getting one and have so many questions. Just 8 months ago, before I had my baby my hair was falling out but still looked ok and I didn't worry about it. Since giving birth, its been coming out so fast in such big chunks. My boyfriend has to use a plunger to unplug the shower drain every week! And now it's very noticeable that I'm balding in a male pattern. I can't hide it no more. Anyway, are there wigs or hairpieces out there that will look natural? Can I wear them all the time. I'd only want to take it off to wash my real hair obviously. Or isn't there such a thing where they glue some sections of hair to your head. Forgot what thats called. I tried doing a google search but all I got was wig websites you can buy from. So in anyone wears one or knows about it, the info would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

fistly you talk about just having had a baby .. this is very common to have a post partum TE shed ... it may well grow back if its just from TE and post pregancny hormones ..

However this is how I found out I had alopecia is when my twin sister had her baby and her post partum shed led her to losing all her temporal hair .. I looked at mine adn I had thinning going on ... have you had a diagnosis ?

as for hair peices ... I wear hundreds of extensions to cover my temples at hte moment .. the thinning is progressing so I am looking into bonded wigs .. these are literally attached to your scalp by surgical glue and will NOT move it is VERY expensive however

Check out www.wattzinternational.co.uk ... she has pictures of her hair replacement

If you want more advise feel free to PM me ...

Starmaiden on here wears a wig because of the hair loss ... there are also many sites for hair loss sufferers.

Default Your normal

I cant help you with the wigs or hair pieces but I wanted you to know I lost tons of my hair after all 4 pregnancies and it went away. The body goes into preservation mode and hold on to everything while you are pregnant including your hair. Then after baby comes it lets go of all of it at once! Normally it comes and goes at intervals not all at once so most don't notice it. Us PCOS gals have a whole other spin on it though.
You may already have known all this stuff I just wanted you too know its ok and normal.
hugs,
