Default Anyone on Wellbutrin?

Did you find it helped with any of your other PCOS symptoms? In particular, I'm wondering about cravings and difficulty losing weight. I need to go back on an anti-depressant and I've heard that WB sometimes helps both those things. Especially since my weight and my feelings of helplessness about controlling my cravings are key sources of my depression, it seems that an anti-depressant that could help with both would be ideal.

Thanks!

Hi Michelle,

I was on Wellbutrin until about 2 months ago. I didn't find it helped any with cravings though. I still have strong sugar/carb cravings while on it. What actually really helped me was a homeopathic remedy called Nux Vomica Homaccord. My doctor (who also uses homeopathics in addition to regular meds) put me on it.

I also had to find a new approach to my cravings though. I still get cravings now, but they're more managable. I try to figure out why I'm craving something, first. Sometimes it's just that I'm bored, or missing something (usually emotionally) and don't know what else to do. When I actually am craving something, I try to be reasonable about the portions. I've also found that if I have a smaller amount, I tend to take more time with it and enjoy it...rather than just snarf down large quantities. It'll take some time to figure out what works for you....but you can get there! Good luck.

I have been on it for a couple of weeks! I am hardley eating anything, but I think it's making my depression worse, so now I have to go see a psych. but since on it I have lost about 5 pounds.
