Default Anyonewant to join me in a Weight Loss resolution?

Hi Girls!
This year I made some serious resolutions for the new year.
One of them is to get serious about losing some weight and starting a moderate exercise program. If there is anyone out there who wants to join me I thought we could start an Aussie/Kiwi weight loss thread again. We had a great bunch together last time.
Doesn't matter what the diet/eating plan, I just thought it would be good to give each other some support.
Is anyone with me?

HI amy

Im interested in joining this thread. I have already started to lose weight by a diet ( not one in particular) and have also recently joined a gym again. so far i have lost about 5 kgs but still have a long way to go. i would like to reach my goal about june.

Hi Amy and Rebecca

I will jump aboard as well! We are getting serious over here since going to the endo on Thursday! On the exercise front i have been really good while on hols walking with Thomas so now it is the diet front to work on!

Last night i was at a wedding and met up with a dietician so i am going to try her! After all i dont want to do our second IVF with impaired glucose and wanting to lose weight - they are too precious to waste!!!

count me in I have been excercising my lil (big really) butt of here & have lost 3 kilo's so far but I need to loose another 12.8 before going back to the gyn on the 21st march for ttc again so I would love to have some daily motivation to excercise!!! not really doing a structured eating plan if i had to say anything i would say it is weight watchers anyway look forward to getting to know you all & getting slimmer together!!

me too please Determined to get within the healthy weight range for my heigh this year I have lost a little i dont know how much cauz i dont like to weigh myself more measure myself if anything but i havent been doing measurements so im not sure.. I do know that AF showed up without meds and i think its cauz i've lost some weight and Im going to a dictatian

I'd love to join. Think I'll start by having this baby. Not sure what to do after that though. I'd love to start playing tennis again... had just been taking beginner lessons last Feb and with moving and everything I haven't played since March.

I'll join in...I am getting lite and easy delivered to my home at the moment. Just for a bit of a kick start. Its 1200 calories, low fat and low GI.
I am also trying to get more excercise into my day and have managed to get in almost an hour walking the last 3 out 4 days.

What is everyone else doing? Anyone doing low carb or South Beach?

Ideally I would like to lose AT LEAST 20kg, but I could probably do with another 5 - 8kg on top of that.

hey Roses
I did lite and easy for a bit. Lost ten kgs so it does work but i found it too xpesnive to keep going with and i put the weight back on, good for a kick start though! Did you have issues eating all the food? I know i did i rang them and asked if i had to eat it all lol

Hi All!!
So glad to see there are a group of us wanting to do this!!!!
The next question is, what format do you want this to take? Do we just want to keep this as a support thread and leave weigh ins up to the individual? Or would you prefer to have a weigh in day for all?

I personally feel that everyone will be doing different things and have different days they want to weigh in so maybe just keeping this thread going for support would be good - just my humble opinion, any input or suggestions are welcome .

I did Lite and Easy for a while too (but what HAVEN'T I done!!!). I really liked it to start with and then I got sick of all the peas in every evening meal - I'm just not a big fan!!! It is a GREAT way to get kick started though.


As for me, this week I am starting Weight Watchers. I have a treadmill here at home which I am going to use 4 - 5 times per week and I am going to do aqua aerobics too. I have been pretty bad since Christmas, my main vice has been soft drinks!!!!! Only because they are left over from Christmas, I wouldn't even usually have them. Never mind, tommorrow is a new day and I'm looking forward to shedding some kgs before my doc appointment on the 1st Feb and onwards!!!

well i need a kick in the bum already!! I hadn't had tea by 9.30pm & decided to go to the hamburger cart to buy steam dim sims but the weren't there so i was really bad & went to KFC!!!! I only had a small meal though but damn it wasn't worth it so i made myself use the elliptical for 25mins to try & compensate for it I know if u want it u should have it so U don't guts out later (well ww principal there) & I have been excercising heaps but geesh I just have to be a pain LOL!!!! i hope everyone else has can avoid the takeaway store this week!!

I'll join too!! I don't need to lose a whole lot, but I've put on 10kg in the last year and have really only just got myself to stop gaining *sigh*. To lose at least some of it would be nice, at least so I can fit my clothes again... I've never actually done a weigh in every week before. Every time I get on the scales usually I'm heavier. My biggest problem is a huge sugar addiction. Oh and that it's often too hot to exercise (well, that's my summer excuse, anyway ).

Amy I had to laugh out loud at the peas comment. So true!

I got home tonight and DH was making a very yummy smelling spag bol. So I don't know how much longer i can hang out without * real * food in my life LOL.

I am going on hols to Dunk Island in 2 weeks. Breakfast and Dinner included....we went there for our honeymoon over 2 yrs ago and the kilos are still sitting on these hips (and thighs...and butt...and tummy...and...and...:o ). And then I managed to find the honeymoon kilos some friends and then there was just no looking back. But I think it is DEFINATLEY time to bid them farewell!

So, I am happy just to check in and motivate each other when we need it.

Hayles, don't worry about the KFC splurge. I went to the movies yesterday and popcorn is my biggest weakness - yum - but I deserved it as it was a 45 min walk there and then another 45 min walk home.

I was bad and had hot milo at work today.. I know your thinking ..hot milo in this heat? but yes i used to be fully addicted to it and today was my first day back at work caz i've had this horrible flu & chest infection both my ears have infectoins and i have conjuntivitis so thats my excuse for lashing out on a cup of milo lol and oh the chocolate was sooo good (in the milo) I got AF for the first time in like 9 months and I was like 'give me chocolate GIVE ME CHOCOLATE NOW!! ' lol hope everyone else is going good

Hi all

I went back to the gym today after not going over xmas and new year, it was very hard to do my work out . I feel great for going and doing it and i was very happy to see that i didnt pu ton any weigh tover the silly season even though i ate the wrong foods. my biggest weakness at the mo is softdrinks, i tired to go cold turkey on them but that didnt make it any better just worse so will slowly stop driniking them. I am pretty sure this weight lose is helping my second month in a row now where af has arrived on day 28 so very happy about that

keep up the hard work everyone. we can make it.
