Default Apologies I'm new to hypothyroidism!

Hi Guys,
Wondering if you could help me with this.
My Parents live abroad where GP visits don't come cheap. I spoke to my father who mentioned my mum wasn't feeling to great. Her lips keep swelling, and doesn't feel it's an allergic reaction as this symptons goes away and come back again every few days?! And not after any particular food.
It's hit me today that it might have something to do with her thyroid? She has a goiter? sp? which grows outwards and has never taken medication or had any type of surgery. Her mother had the same also but has it removed as hers was growing inwards. She also gets swollen feet. She doesn't suffer from PCOS- Only me, in our family.

So what I'm trying to ask is - Might the swelling of the lip and feet be a symptom of this? And what are the other symptoms? And might My PCOS be related to the condition she suffers from???

Thanks xx
