Default Appetite and Met

I know I've read that Met can reduce your appetite, but I feel like I've been more hungry. I've only been on it one week so far, at one 500mg tablet once daily, upping to two tabs tomorrow. Could this be from the Met or just coincidence? Anyone else have this happen?

I didn't lose my appetite until I got to 1500 mg. That lasted about 4 months then my appetite came back. I don't get hungry like I did before Met, but I've always been able to eat whether I am hungry or not.

when i was taking 500 mg, i did eat more. i felt like i had to eat more frequently or i would start to get that low blood sugar feeling. now that i'm on 1000 mg, i feel like i can go about twice as long without eating.

I was the same way- even on 1000 mg of Met. My Endo. said lower doses do seem to cause some people to have a larger appetite. It seems a lot better since I've been on the 2000 mg.

Me Too! This is my first week on Met 2/500mg. I am more hungry also and majorly sleepy and dizzy. I think that if I eat more it will help with the sleepiness/hypoglocemic side effects. This medicine is getting on my nerves...argh. It better be worth it.
