I was taking the Organic Bragg's Raw- Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar a few times a day. I was doing that for awhile, I really thinks it helps. Get the one that says "With the Mother" in it, I got mine right from GNC it is not to expensive, it was $3.19 a bottle of 16floz. You take a tablespoon before a meal or put it on some salad or cucumbers, I was taking it straight from the spoon before each meal and it didn't bother me, it acutally made me feel fuller and sometimes couldn't even finish my plate. Try it out. Any GNC or Health Food Store should sell it, call before you go they will tell you if they have it or not, they have small or big or even jugs of the stuff.
personally I thought I was going to die when I had it--- the taste took my breath away---but maybe that is just me...
It took me a week or two to really get acclimated to it. Now my body recognizes it as something good and it tastes good. Some cysters who don't like the taste straight or in water have found that they like their acv as a sliced cucumber salad. Also, make sure you have real ACV... the Heinz stuff isn't real (it's another vinegar with caramel coloring) and it tastes vile.
wow - thanks! I was eating acv with olive oil soaked in cucumbers and tomatoes, it is delish, a few weeks ago, but hadn't eaten that since, and some lady in the grocery store told me, "ya know acv is really the only vinegar thatr's good for us" ......lol
Thanks for the link to the thread. It just tastes good to me.
I have never heard about drinking it, but I did read something that said if you buy fruits and vegetables that are non organic you should wash them in one part apple cider vinegar to 12 parts water...just thought you might want to know that...I read it on one of these pcos websites I'm not sure which one!!!!!!!!!

Does it have to be apple cider vinegar? I like balsamic... we bought a great one made by PC (in Canada) it is balsamic and fig flavour... ohh mama, sooo good! Had it on cucumber and tomato slices.

balsamic has too much sugar (naturally, it isn't added) in it to work... sad but true
Some other vinegars do show benefits, but they aren't as gentle on the stomach and/or they don't work as well. Most of the controlled double blind trials use ACV, so it has been most tested.
Does anyone know if ACV will go bad? I've got some in my pantry that I'd like to pull out again, but I'm wondering if I should buy a new one. Does it need to be refridgerated after opening?

If it goes bad, it will be obvious (it will be fuzzy and smell awful-- rarely happens and only if it has been contaminated). Usually it won't go bad... vinegar is historically used as a preservative. What can happen is that the mother (the floaty bits) will grow and take over the bottle, but that isn't dangerous at all.

Now that is interesting, I was wondering why, when I pulled out the bowl my cukes and tomatoes and ACV all of the sudden got fuzzy like you're saying. I thought it was bad, or maybe I put too much ACV in there lol
It's called the "mother"? Ya learn sumthin' everyday
