We got an email from our agency tonight informing us that they just received our official approval to adopt from ICBF! We've been placed on the waiting list for a boy age 0-1 year!

We were originally told 12-15 months. They say the time we've already waited was included in that, so we're down to 9-12 months now. They also told us that things have been moving faster than they anticipated, but to not bank on it because obviously things can slow down just as easily as they sped up.

wohooooo!!! that is a great step! now you are expecting. are you going to celebrate? congradulations. things are sure going well around here. i hope your wait is short and sweet!
DH and I have been buying gifts for Sam at each milestone. We've been looking at cribs lately, so maybe we'll go for that this time. I'm actually headed out of town tomorrow morning with my brother and SIL ( he is home for R&R from Iraq) to suprise our aunt up in Michigan. DH has to work and can't go, so we will be celebrating when I get back on Saturday.

Agreed--once the crib was set up in our bedroom and the bedding inside, it almost made it easier to wait.
(Not easy was keeping the cats out of the new bed that was OBVIOUSLY for them.)
We got the kind of cribs that convert to toddler beds and are still using them as cribs, but it's nice to not have to rush out now to pick another bed frame as soon as they are ready. (Especially since we had no clue we'd be here in Korea during this time!)
Thank you for your brother and his service in Iraq.
One more hurdle overcome--feels great, doesn't it?!!
