April 28th-our 6th month family anniversary & pics of boys
WOOHOO!!!!
We made it!!!
Today is our six-month family anniversary. I met with the lawyer on Tuesday. Now, it's just a matter of paperwork between the lawyer and DCS. We should be signing contracts and petitions within 2-3 weeks and then get our court date!
We took the boys and got their pictures taken and then went out to eat to celebrate.
About a month ago, I made a paper chain countdown. Each night we took one piece down and I had put questions on the inside. Tonight's question: "Today is our 6 month family anniversary. What is your favorite memory since becoming a family?"
Thomas: "The day we moved in."
Stephen: "We had went to a bunch of houses and this is the last house we have to live in."
At this point I started choking up. Then, Stephen and his comical timing continued, "And when you die, I'm gonna get this house!"
OK, so here are some pics. Thomas has lost two teeth on the bottom and his two top front teeth are loose. I think I got the pictures done just in time:

I'm gonna stop looking back and starting moving on
And learn how to face my fears
Love with all of my heart, make my mark
I wanna leave something here
Go out on a ledge, without any net
That's what I'm gonna be about
Yeah, I wanna be running
When the sand runs out

What a wonderful way to celebrate such a beautiful memory. They are just gorgeous too, btw!

I wanted to get a picture of all of us, but DH wouldn't dress up. He wore a red shirt and cut off khaki shorts.
I think we might go on the day of the court hearing and get our pictures done.

What a gift you've been given! They're adorable! Congratulations! I think that is the most wonderful idea to do the chain and ask the questions. What a special Mommy they have!
Blessings to you!
