Default Argh! I'm turning into a bear

I have been on Metformin for three months and just upped from 500 to 1000mg daily. I have had the line of dark hair down my stomach and this is something the doctor noticed right away during dx. But since I have started the met I have dark hairs growing in all over my stomach!!! Why now?! I am afraid it's the medication and I'm afraid to stop it as well. My only high blood count was testosterone. Is this weird?

I was told MEt was only used to regulate cycles and partially lower testosterone ... you have to go on something like Dianette, Yasmin or on spiro, flutamide or something along those lines to deal with the excess hair issues

Well that would make more sense, but my doctor told me to wait because the met would take care of that. It makes me feel like I should ask for a referral to an endocrinologist.
