I was just wondering if anyone out there has itchy arm pits. Just in the last few weeks I have been going nuts. I swear I look like a monkey at times going at my pits. I have not done anything different as in soaps or pit sticks. Its a bit warmer here but nothing that I can not stand and I don't have any heat rash or itch anywhere else just the pits or am I just Any help on this would I love.

The only thing I can think of....
sometimes if I've used a deoderant for a long time, it looses it's effectivness. Think maybe your body is reacting diffferently to it? Any new meds that may have changed your chemistry? Maybe try a new one and see if it helps.
Sorry I can't be more helpful
hugs
Julie

Ive had that problem before. I could not use certin deoderants. My durmantalogest told me to use dove... I have been every sence it is the only thing that i can use. I buy the kind that comes out as a cream insted of a solid or spray becouse it is the milder verson. I am a happy Dove user and have been for about two years now without inncedense. My pits are happy :-)

Think maybe if you took some benedryl? They make that topical cream if you don't want to try the pill.
I took Lexapro and use Dove too....I didn't have that trouble.
Any change in your shaving habits?
We'll figure this out....LOL

Definataly try the cream & if it doesn't work hit the dr you may have a fungel infection. Or mabey just stop using your deoderant for a few days & wash under there with a MILD MILD soap like twice a day. Tc & Good Luck

LOL Nope only shave about 3-4 times a week just changed to a new blade about a week ago but same type I have use for years. I am thinking about the Benedryl cream to see if that helps any if not looks like I might be seeing my NP this next week. I don't think a infec sounds like fun so if it is I want it gone
Hey I know this is off the subject but how long did it take to really see the effects of the Lexapro??

I only have that happen if I forget to put on deodorant and then get sweaty. If it happens, then I just wash with cold water and soap and put on deodorant and I am ok again. I also am a happy Dove user. Works great on sensitive skin.

I'll just be honest with you hon, Lexapro didn't work for me. But I have heard it can work within days, some say a couple of weeks. I think it's one of the faster working ones though. If you feel like you've been on it for long enough, maybe you should ask your NP on "pit day".
I agree, an infection sounds....horrid. (shudder)
Hey! I thought of something else. Have you gotten a new bra or something like that? I have to wear one of those 18 hour, over the shoulder boulder holders and sometimes it irritates my pits.
I'm going to be gone for a few days. PM me if you need anything and I'll write back just as soon as I can.
Hang in there babe!
Hugs
Julie

Hey I just started getting these this summer. My Dad gets it too it is a heat rash and you can use hydrocodone cream for it. My pits got all rash and extremelly ichy. I use the cream and do not use deoderant until it is gone and then be sure to take coold or cool showers and try and not wear stuff that makes me hot. You can look up heat rash on the internet and see if that is what you got. Hope this helps.
I sometiems get an exzema outbreak under my arms. Particularly if I accidently use secret deoderent. It itches like CRAZY-----I use degree normally and don't have a problem. Exzcema can sometiems outbreak due to stress or change of weather too. I doubt it is an infection unless you are seeing pus etc (gross I know), but It could be a fungal rash use a hair dryer to dry your underarms and be careful where you put the towel after you dry off that area when you hop out of the shower.
