I take Armour. I am currently on 75mg a day along with 50mcg of levoxyl.

The armour has T3 and so is fast acting. It can be very helpful if you are not converting properly from T4->T3. You can also use armour to tweak your dose on a daily basis so for instance if you are having a really stressful day and you feel like you're dead on your feet, you can get a boost. Etc. (Make sure to get the blessing of your doc on that!)

I just started taking it. I take 60 mg a day. I take it all at once in the morning. I think it is starting to kick in, I am starting to feel a little better... I haven't had any side affects.

I have read the same website as you mentioned above. Lots of good information on both sites!!

Good Luck

I am going to a RNP who finally prescribed me Armour, right now we are trying 120mg of Armour or 2 grains, we will test my blood and then see if I need to add a little Levoxyl, So far I am feeling pretty good, but I take 1/2 my pill in the morning and the other 1/2 at 4p.m. so far so good, but I just started almost a week ago so I still have T4 or levoxyl in my body. I am just glad I found someone to work with me.
GL to you.

i was on armour for a year and it made my thyroid symptoms worse. I started synthroid and experienced hair growth and lots of energy. so it's different for everyone.

I think some people do need armour but they also need an added T4 to their meds, as of right now I am taking 120mg of Armour and .25mcg of levoxyl and I finally feel human, I do think that we all need some T3 be it through Armour or a Syntetic T3
I use to feel ok on Synthetic meds too, but I will tell you I never knew how really bad I felt being on a T4 alone until I started on my Armour, They will have to pry the Armour out of my cold dead hands. I am so grateful it is giving me my life back!!
