Question Armour Thyroid- Is anyone taking this?

I just started a thyroid medication called Armour, has anyone had experiences with this, good or bad?

armour thyroid

As you will read in my responses in those threads, I took it for a little while before I knew much about thyroid issues, but I regret that I ever did. It made my problems worse.

I'm taking it. One thing to watch for when taking Armour is that since it is made up of both T4 (inactive) and T3 (active) thyroid hormone then you should watch both numbers when your doctor takes blood work to see how you're doing. Make sure they check both Free t4 AND free t3 in your workups.

This is because *some* people find that Armour gives them the wrong ratio, and need an adjustment with either a little extra T4 or T3 added to the mix.
