Default arrrgghhh health insurance!

i just found out that at the end of this month, they're cutting my ohp(oregon health plan)!thank god i have a new job that i can get blue cross blue shield.it wont be for three more months though.i do have a doc through the tribe i can go through, but i have to travel a half hour there and a half hour back.not to mention it's hard to get in there.i made an appointment with my gyno for this month to see if there is anyway i can get my met in bulk so as to last me at least until i can get to my tribal doc.on the up side i will be able to see a specalist in medford, and hopefully get to where i'm Oing.

they did a blood test (progesterone) to see if i Oed this month,it was like 2.5 or something so she said i could have ovulated and had a weak hormone month or i might not have.she said she didn't know.i'm supposed to get another test next month but now i dont know if i can.
sorry so long...thanks for letting me rant and rave.

Sorry to hear your insurance probs. I know that before we got married DH didn't have any med insurance. His dr. was great and would give him lots of samples instead of having him spend lots of $ on prescriptions. See if your dr. might be able to do that too. Most drs. I've dealt with are quite sympathetic to money issues. Good luck!

Dealing with health insurance is hell!!!!! I have not had any health insurance for over a year. Thank god for my doctor, he is wonderful with giving me samples of medications and cutting me a break on the office visit price. Something need to be done for all the uninsured people in the United States.

It's stories like these that make me so thankful to be a Canadian.

Hope it works out soon.

Oh I've ranted over and over about insurance. I finally got a high deductible plan by just forgetting to tell them that I had pre-existing conditions. Of course it doesn't cover jack. It's just in case I get hit by a bus or something. The cost of healthcare is ridiculous. I am punished for being self employed and working hard. I make too much to get state healthcare but I sure can't afford to pay for it if anything happens to me!
